Atop a piste
I wander in search of inward peace
Whilst the wind calmly blows
serenity flows
Such that the heart eventually mellows
To mush
Peering around the peaks that abound
I take it all in
Attempting to temper the rush
Treasuring the moment, basking in it
Breath in

Let's go
Sink deeper within
Love thy self and thy kin
Less easily forged than said
When self-criticism is so hard to shed
Yet amongst the forest
I feel at rest
Freedom overcomes and
Love grows as thick as the trunks of trees
As I dance amongst the honey bees
Bouncing barefoot from soil to rock
Elated, playing, celebrating
Picking blue spurts of tastiness
Sweetness fuelling the adventurous
Breath in

Let go
Let's go
As one foot steps in front of the other
I recall a reflection that I’ve learned to treasure
Of how harbouring anger holds no value
It only results in clouds of sorrow
Like socked in mist in a drizzly cove
Negativity lingers until we are froze
Distorting our vision in a crazed dazed haze of lows
Though, as I learn to choose love, gratitude and kindness
The grey mist softly becomes adrift
Lifting to reveal clear skies of contentedness
With self compassion
We can create, imagine and inspire
And the world can be all of what we desire
For life truly is a wondrous gift

Plunging into a brisk aqua bliss
Cleanses the swirling thoughts that hiss
Quell the noise
Regain poise
Forgo focus on the past and future
Awed by beauty of wondrous nature
Immersed within the sublime Alpine
There is no need of knowing of time
There is no need of responsibilities, expectations
or anticipations
With dirt underneath fingernails
I have not a care, woe or worry
Feeling fancy free to frolic with glee
Knowing that I am exactly where I am meant to be
And I am exactly who I am meant to be
